These Terms of Service (“Terms,” “Agreement”) govern your use of the website www.digitalvintageclassics.com (“Site”) and your interaction with Digital Vintage Classics LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”). By using our Site or services, you agree to these Terms.

Digital Vintage Classics LLC is a Michigan-based business specializing in the repair of vintage electronics. We provide repairs only, not restoration services, and all sales are completed in person.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our website or services.

1. Services We Provide

We offer:

  • Repair of vintage electronics

  • Diagnostic evaluations (case-by-case fee)

  • In-person product sales of refurbished units (as available)

We do not offer:

  • Restoration to original showroom condition

  • Online sales

  • Free technical advice outside paid repairs

2. Appointment Requirements

All interactions with Digital Vintage Classics LLC require an appointment, including:

  • Repair drop-offs

  • Repair pickups

  • Device evaluations

Repairs, drop-offs, and pickups are by appointment only. No exceptions.

3. Communication Policy

We communicate through:

  • Phone calls (preferred) for scheduling appointments

  • Email for general questions or follow-up communication

Phone calls are required for scheduling repair appointments.

4. Payments, Fees, and Deposits

In-Person Payments Only

We accept:

  • Square

  • PayPal

  • Zelle

  • Venmo

Payment Policy

Payment is due in full at the time of pickup, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Diagnostic Fees

Diagnostic or evaluation fees are determined case-by-case.
Customers will be notified of any fee before work begins.

Deposits

Some repairs requiring special-order parts may require a deposit.
Deposits are case-by-case and will be communicated before parts are ordered.

5. Warranty on Repairs

We offer a 90-day warranty on parts installed by us, starting from the pickup date.

The warranty does not cover:

  • Labor

  • Customer-provided parts

  • Pre-existing issues

  • Failures caused by aging components

  • Damage from misuse or mishandling

  • Failures due to prior repair attempts

  • Damage from environmental conditions

The warranty becomes void if:

  • The customer opens the device

  • The device is modified or tampered with

  • Customer attempts repairs themselves

6. Customer Responsibilities

Customers agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about device issues

  • Pick up repaired or evaluated items on time

  • Transport items safely after pickup

  • Understand the risks associated with aging electronics

7. Abandoned Equipment Policy

Customers must pick up items within 6 months of notification that the device is ready.

If an item is not picked up within 6 months:

  • It may be considered abandoned

  • The item may be disposed of, recycled, or resold

  • Deposits and fees will be forfeited

  • No compensation will be provided

8. Repairs-Only Statement

We provide repair-only services.
We do not offer:

  • Restoration or cosmetic restoration

  • Full rebuilds

  • Upgrades outside standard repair practices

9. No Free Technical Advice

We do not provide diagnostics or troubleshooting outside paid repair services.
Any informal guidance is general and used at the customer’s own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Digital Vintage Classics LLC is not liable for:

  • Loss of stored data, presets, or settings

  • Damage from pre-existing internal failures

  • Damage caused by prior repairs or modifications

  • Failures caused by aging or fragile components

  • Loss of value or performance changes

  • Damage caused by temperature, humidity, or storage conditions

Customers acknowledge the risks inherent in vintage electronics.

11. No Guarantee of Future Performance

We do not guarantee:

  • Longevity of repaired items

  • Future performance

  • Prevention of future failures

  • Availability of replacement parts

Repairs are conducted on a best-effort basis.

12. Website Use and Intellectual Property

All content on this website is property of Digital Vintage Classics LLC.
You may not copy, distribute, modify, or reproduce any content without written permission.

You agree not to use the Site for unlawful or harmful activities.
