Services
🎛️ What We Service
We specialize in vintage electronics — the kind of gear built to last. Dan brings over 45 years of hands-on experience, and he’s the only one who works on your equipment. Whether it’s something you’ve had forever or something you just picked up, we do our best to bring it back to life and working like it should.
🔧 Common Equipment We Repair
- Turntables
- Amplifiers and preamps
- Receivers
- Speakers
- Some cassette decks and reel-to-reels
- LED TVs (mostly backlight repairs — we don’t service vintage TVs)
- Some car stereos (depends on age and issue)
🛠️ What We Don’t Do
We focus on repairs only — not restorations or cosmetic work.
Here’s what we don’t take on:
- Restorations — no cabinet work, refinishing, repainting, or cosmetic upgrades
- Vintage TVs (tube or console models)
- Bluetooth speakers or modern digital-only systems
If you’re unsure about your equipment, reach out first. We’ll let you know before you bring it in.
📋 How It Works
1. Submit a Repair Request
Start by filling out our Repair Appointment form. Give us as much info as you can — what the unit is, what it’s doing, and any history.
2. Diagnostic + Estimate
Once we have the unit, Dan will go through it and give you an estimate. Most diagnostics run between $50 and $79, depending on the unit — that fee goes toward the total if you approve the repair.
3. Appointment-Only Drop-Off
We run the business from our home, which is why all drop-offs and pickups are by appointment only. This helps us stay organized and gives each customer one-on-one attention without distractions.
4. Repairs by Dan
Dan does all the repair work himself. No interns, no outside techs — just one guy with 45+ years of experience and a bench full of tools.
5. Pickup or Recycle Option
If you don’t want to move forward with a repair, you can come pick the unit up or choose to have it recycled. Sometimes Dan will repair it later and use it for parts or resell it — but only with your okay.
⏱️ Turnaround Time
It usually takes 3 to 6 weeks just to get to a unit, depending on the queue. Some take longer if parts are hard to find. We try to keep you updated if delays happen.
🔒 Our Guarantee
We guarantee the work we’ve done, not the whole unit. If something goes wrong with what we fixed, we’ll take care of it. If something else goes wrong, Dan will work with you — sometimes it’s just parts, sometimes it’s a discounted labor rate. Each case is different, and we try to be fair.
📍 Where We’re Located
We’re in Clinton Township and serve all of Southeast Michigan — including Macomb County, Sterling Heights, Shelby Township, Warren, and surrounding areas.
